Shipping is found under the settings menu.

When it is your first time setting up shipping for your shop you will be asked to set up your location before you can add shipping options, as can be seen in the below screenshot. Please make sure to fill in the physical address section:

After your location has been set, you can add the shipping options you would like to offer your customers:

Step 1:  Name your shipping option (example: Postal, Courier)

Step 2:  How long does it take to get delivered? (example: 3-5 working days)

Step 3: Add your default tracking URL

Step 4: Add in the costs (please remember, make it attractive for your customers to shop)

Step 5: Select if this option is for Local (same city), national (same country) or international delivery

Step 6: Click ‘Create Shipping option’

Shopstar will know where your shop is located by the location you filled in. Then it will look at where the buyer wants to ship the product to and will then use either the local, national or international option as set up by you.

When someone places an order the shipping cost will be automatically added to their order based on the location they specified as the delivery address.

Our advice: keep it simple. Try to make it easy for your customer to choose a shipping option. Offer less options than too many - or calculate shipping costs into your pricing. You might also loose a bit of money on some shipments and gain on others. Don't let shipping costs prevent the purchase.

You can also add a few other items such as:

  • Collection: Enable your clients to pick their purchase up from a physical address + inform them when and where this is possible

  • Free shipping: Specify an amount after which shipping will be free (for local, national and international or 1 of these options)

  • Product surcharges: If a specific product is, for example, different in sizing/weight and therefore more expensive, you can add a surcharge on this specific item
